Peninsula State Park : Door County Photography

My husband and I are home from a beautiful vacation at Peninsula State Park in Door County, Wisconsin. For those of you unfamiliar with Wisconsin geography, it is near the top of the "thumb" part of Wisconsin. :)

We biked miles and miles and enjoyed relaxing nights beside the fire under the stars. This was actually my first time camping in a tent! We could see the water from our site and near us was a great pier that overlooked the nearby city harbor of Fish Creek. In Fish Creek there were lots of great boutiques and local shops. We bought our niece, Ava, her birthday present at a classic speciality toy store, Kid Works.

At the park there were miles of beautiful bike trails, a historic lighthouse, an outdoor theater, and beach at Nicolet Bay. Lots of things to do! Not to mention it was cherry picking season- which Door County is famous for.

I would recommend Not Licked Yet for some awesome frozen custard!

My husband and I have the new goal of camping at all of the Wisconsin State parks!

I took along my Sony A55 Camera and got some shots of the wonderful scenery.

Our trusty Trek bikes!

The Northern Sky Theater on the State Park grounds! Someone please hire me to do your wedding here! Wouldn't that be gorgeous?!
