I personally think that this information is valuable for everyone… but it is especially important for those involved with children from foster care or adoptive backgrounds.

Dr. Karyn Purvis and her research have helped so many children with trauma histories find healing though relationships.

I have been following her work since my internship at Catholic Charities in their adoption program a few years ago and it has become a serious passion of mine! I even use some of the TBRI principles in my therapy with the youth I work with.

I attended one day of the Empowered to Connect Training last year and my husband and I are attending both days this year! I am attending for professional and personal reasons as Josh and I are "pre-pre-adoptive" parents. :)
