China Adventure- Part 1 Beijing

We are back from our adventure in China! Josh and I had a wonderful time and so much fun!
This trip kind of snuck up on us this year and we did very little research before going and were unaware that China does not allow Instagram, Facebook, or Google so we weren't able to share the cool things we were doing at the time. Rest assured, we did have a great time and were safe. :)

After an night of rest from the 14 hour flight.. We started off the next day in Beijing and visited Tienanmen Square, the Forbidden City, and the Temple of Heaven. In the evening we saw a Kung Fu show! (pictured below)

The next day we ventured to the Great Wall! There was the option to climb all
the way to the top of the wall there and of course we had to! You can see us pictured at the bottom of the park and us together at the top.  (It is not the first level you see, there is much much more on the mountains behind that. I kept thinking each tower was the top but it just keeps going...) Can you believe that parts of this wall were made back in the 5th century B.C? I was continually astounded by the history of China on this trip.

The top- whoo hoo!!

Below is the Summer Palace which we also visited in Beijing. I loved the experiencing culture in China the most. Pictured is men playing Mahjong in the park.  My legs were so sore from climbing the day before but we did enjoy walking around the park. :) We also saw an amazing acrobatic show and ate Peking Duck. Yum!

I will share more posts about the other cities we saw soon!
